PHOTOS: The Tallinn Maritime Days ended with the Tallinn Race award ceremony and concert

The Tallinn Maritime Days culminated yesterday with the Tallinn Race awards ceremony and the Terminator concert at Seaplane harbour, where thousands of people had gathered to draw the line for the capital's biggest sea festival this summer.

Estonia's biggest sea and family party the Tallinn Maritime Days took place for the 15th time this year. This year's theme was "The sea is, the sea remains", which pays homage to Kihnu Virve, who left a deep mark on Estonian folk music and maritime folklore with his sea songs.

As part of the Year of Movement, the festival offered sports activities to visitors - an open water swimming challenge took place at Pirita and the Ghetto Games at the Seaplane harbour. In addition, visitors could also test themselves in mini-orienteering.

Traditionally, there was a separate children's program for the small guests of the Maritime Days: during the festival, there were great entertainment activities for children in the harbors. For example, the annual Premia children's run, watched by Prügihunt together with pirates, performed by Laulupesa children, OmaTsirkus and Kolm Põrsakest.

The Tallinn - UNESCO City of Music also offered great musical experiences. A Kihnu Virve sea songs concert was held, where Kukerpillid, Untsakad, Järsumäe family ensemble, Audru Jõelaivans Punt and Olavi Kõrre performed. Among others, Gameboy Tetris & Friends, Clicherik & Mäxi and Villemdrillemiga, Kõrsikud, Põhja-Tallinn, Jüri Pootsmann's acoustic trio, Elephants from Neptune, Ines, Sofia Rubina, Ellip, Inger, Minimal Wind, Terminator, Metsatöll, Tallinn Police Orchestra etc performed in the ports.
