Tallinn Maritime Days to attract children with the carnival of mascots and more

Tallinn Maritime Days will offer exciting activities for kids of all ages in the ports participating in the festival, but nothing can probably top the program of the Seaplane Harbour with mascots, carnival, pirates and exciting performances.

“Tallinn Maritime Days will be filled with lots of wonderful activities for the kids. For example, in the Seaplane Harbour, our soft and large mascots will be waiting for kids every day, with a big mascot carnival held on Saturday, 27 August at 13:00” said Riina Paavo who is responsible for children's activities in the Seaplane Harbour.

“All children are welcome to wear different costumes and spend time with mascots in a fun way, singing and dancing. Little Batmans, Elsas and Harry Potters are very welcome to our festival,” she added.

Choirs or football clubs that have their own mascot who would also like to participate in the carnival in the Seaplane Harbour are asked to contact the organizers first.

The Tallinn Maritime Days’ programme in the Seaplane Harbour will also include friendly pirates, a magic show, the mascots, and a children's race, with ice cream waiting for the participants at the finish.

There are plenty of activities for families with children also in other ports participating in the Tallinn Maritime Days. In the Noblessner Marina, for instance, kids can visit the small inventors' area of the PROTO discovery factory. The cruise area of the Old City Harbour will host exciting performances for kids, and Haven Kakumägi marina is welcoming small festival visitors to a children's science show.

“Tallinn Maritime Days is not only a sea-themed party, but also a family party. That is why we have worked very hard to draw up such a program that will keep children amused in all our locations. It is also worth emphasizing that a very large part of the activities targeted at children are free of charge,” said Kristjan Saar, head of the organizing team of Tallinn Maritime Days.

The detailed program of Tallinn Maritime Days is available online at the website of Tallinn Maritime Days!

Tallinn Maritime Days will be held this year on August 25 - 28 August in the cruise area of the Old City Harbour, Seaplane Harbour, Noblessner Marina and Haven Kakumäe Marina.
